Managing Performance & Feedback

Who should attend?

Business owners, office managers, line managers and anyone with responsibility for managing, monitoring and improving the performance of people in their organisation.

Why should you attend?

Getting the best out of people in the workplace is not always as easy as it sounds and often the fear (and consequences) of getting it wrong holds managers back. Delegates on this course will not only gain greater insight into the tools to manage performance – including setting SMART objectives – but also how to monitor and provide feedback to help improve and sustain good performance.

We will also look at motivational theory to understand what factors motivate individuals and why and how you can use this to enhance the way you manage people.

Course outline

  • How to set SMART objectives
  • How to monitor and evaluate performance
  • How to provide effective feedback
  • Managing probationary periods
  • Understanding motivational theory
  • Managing poor performance – options and approaches
