ILM Award in Management (Level 5)

Who should attend?

This course is for middle managers. These are people with a fairly wide span of control that would possibly include a tier of Team Leaders and First Line Managers. Middle managers have autonomy in their area of responsibility and may be involved in recruitment, performance management, promotions and discipline.They hold budgets and a degree of financial accountability, and may negotiate directly with customers and suppliers.Middle managers may be project managers and will be responsible for planning, quality and meeting targets.

Meet the Trainer

Allan Cottam

Allan Cottam is an experienced tutor who has helped many individuals with their management skills. Before becoming an independent consultant, Allan worked as a project manager in industry. He has managed a number of large-scale construction projects for organisations such as Nuclear Electric, the RAF, the MOD and the Corporation of London. In Gloucestershire Allan has assisted a number of small and medium sized companies with staff development.

Allan has recently featured on local radio - where he gave advice on the art of giving presentations.
