Do you work alone or travel or visit clients for business purposes? Perhaps you're responsible for staff who do?

Why should you attend?

Many of us as employees are expected, as part of our jobs, to travel and visit other workplaces throughout the UK and abroad on behalf of our companies. Generally these trips and visits are uneventful and on the whole enjoyable, yet how often do we plan for our own personal security whilst in these circumstances? What are the risks in unfamiliar workplaces, cities, hotels, bars, restaurants and public transport systems? What should we look for and how can we prepare and assess potential insecure situations? This course is about preparation, prior research and assessment of potential risks that may be faced. After this course, you will be more aware of how to assess potential dangers when working alone and how to prepare for a trip or visit.

Course Outline

This subject is only delivered as an In-House Course - at your premises or ours

The cost for up to 6 people is £500 + VAT
The cost for up to 12 people is £665 + VAT

During this interactive course, you will gain an insight into:

• Pre-trip preparation, personal risk assessment and destination risk assessment using a simple template
• Using assessment techniques to assess potentially insecure situations including those on transport systems and in hotels, bars and restaurants
• Why and how you should prepare travel route contingency plans for events such as strikes, delays, weather and civil disruption
• Understanding 'travel vulnerability' especially theft, scams and confidence tricks
• Knowing who to contact when specific situations occur
