IT Skills for School Administrators (In-House Only)

Who should attend?

School Administrators who are new to personal computers and wish to become confident using the equipment and associated terminology. If you are new to computing, and need to be able to operate a wide array of essential packages to an introductory level quickly, this course will suit you.

Why should you attend?

Designed to answer the question ?what can a computer do to help me in my job??, this course takes the non computer user or beginner through the potential of today's computer revolution. Giving an overview of computer applications like word processing, spreadsheets and presentations, networking and electronic data storage, this course will provide an excellent introduction into computing for the non-automated business.

Course Outline

This subject is only delivered as an In-House Course - at your premises or ours

The cost for up to 6 people is £825 + VAT
The cost for up to 12 people is £1148 + VAT


The workshop will guide delegates through the following modules:

  • Understand the basic components of a PC
  • Use the operating system to open, save and print files
  • Write letters and memos in Word
  • Open, edit and print Excel spreadsheets
  • Understand the basics of a computer network
  • Save files to a server
  • Manage folders on a server and local PC
  • Use Microsoft Windows to manage files and electronic data
  • Compile data in a spreadsheet for financial calculation
  • Open PowerPoint files
  • Create a simple presentation
  • Import, edit, save and copy digital pictures for use in Word, Excel or PowerPoint
