Who should attend?

This course is designed to help delegates understand the very basics of computing. Starting at the beginning delegates are gently introduced to the keyboard, mouse, monitor and computer and given a basic overview of files and programs.

While everyone recognises the potential for PCs to save time and money within virtually any type of business, learning how to use them effectively can be daunting for those who have little or no experience with computers.

The workshop will guide delegates through the following modules:

• Turn on the computer
• Recognise the different parts of a computer
• Use the keyboard and mouse
• Create a new file
• Save a new file
• Open an existing file
• Understand and use the basic features of Microsoft Windows
• Create, send and receive a simple Email
• Add an attachment to an Email,
• Open and save Email attachments
• Describe additional hardware options like scanners, digital cameras and the Internet
• Type and print a simple letter
