The workshop will guide delegates through the following modules:

• Access a web site via a known web address
• Understand the different types of search engine available to find information, pictures and specialist user groups
• Select the most appropriate search engine for their needs
• Combine words within search engines for the best results
• Create and organise their favourite web sites
• Understand and use Web mail.
• Download images and movie files from the Internet to a PC
• Recognise and download the different audio and video player software programs
• Select and use price comparator sites to find the lowest prices
• Effectively use auction sites to buy and sell goods
• Copy information from web pages into standard office applications e.g. Word, PowerPoint.
• Use the browser History feature
• Understand the basics of Internet Security
