Food Foundation Safety (HABC) (Online Training)

Who should attend?

This on-line course, accessed via the internet, is aimed at anyone currently working in a role where you need to handle, prepare or cook food. It?s also great if you?re just about to start working in a role like this too, or if you are an employer looking for a cost effective training solution for your staff. There are no formal entry requirements and you don't need any previous qualifications in Food Safety to start learning.

Why should you attend?

If you work with food as part of your job, or you're looking to work in the food industry, then you'll need training in food safety. This course is endorsed by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) and supports legal requirement for any staff handling food to be appropriately trained. It provides an overall introduction into food safety, covering topics such as hygiene, bacteria, food poisoning and contamination.

Course Outline

Approximately 6 hours to complete, within 6 months. The course contains a number of assessment exercises and to receive your certificate, you will need to answer all of the questions correctly. When you have completed the course, you can download a PDF Certificate. All of the necessary support and learning is provided within the course.

Meet the Trainer

Allan Cottam

Allan Cottam is an experienced tutor who has helped many individuals with their management skills. Before becoming an independent consultant, Allan worked as a project manager in industry. He has managed a number of large-scale construction projects for organisations such as Nuclear Electric, the RAF, the MOD and the Corporation of London. In Gloucestershire Allan has assisted a number of small and medium sized companies with staff development.

Allan has recently featured on local radio - where he gave advice on the art of giving presentations.
