Alison has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for three years. She is part of the Business Support Team and as a Better Business in Childcare Business Adviser, she specialises in advising on finance and Nursery Education Funding. Alison is a qualified teacher and has worked within the childcare sector for the last 15yrs in a variety of roles.
Outside of work she spends her time supporting her family and is something of a sports "nut".

Carrie Artus has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for six years. As Training and Development Manager, she is responsible for the management of our open programme courses, design and delivery of in-house training and also apprenticeship programmes. Carrie loves the variety and flexibility that her role gives her and also the opportunity to work with so many different types of organisations. Before GEL, Carrie worked in operational management and training.
In her spare time, Carrie enjoys spending time with her partner and two delightful children!

Claire has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise since April 2010. She is a part-time Business Support Administrator dealing with a variety of projects including “Better Business in Childcare” and the “Women Entrepreneurs in Business” Group among others.
Before working here, the bulk of her working life was spent working in various roles for Barclays Bank Plc but she has had other jobs in merchandising, childcare and running a successful equine Breeding Supplies business.

Dave is the IT Director, and Deputy Managing Director of Gloucestershire Enterprise. Dave is a long serving member of staff clocking up over 28 years service with the company in its various guises. Most of these have been in an IT role stretching back to the days when Dave introduced PCs into the organization in the late 1980s, long before the World Wide Web or even Email were recognized business tools!
Outside of work he spends his spare time with his wife and two daughters, or indulging his hobby of aviation photography!
Emma has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for 15 months and is part of the Business Support team, working at Cotswold Business Centre, our office in Upper Rissington. Her favourite part of the job is meeting the wide range of people who visit the Centre. Before working here, she was finishing her degree. When she isn't working, she likes to go camping but doesn't much like the camping hair!

Gill has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for three years. She is part of the Business Support Team and as a Better Business in Childcare Business Adviser, she specialises in advising on Nursery Education Funding and legislation issues. Her favourite part of the job is face to face meetings with clients, who need help to make their businesses work better. She gets a real buzz from enabling people to make a success of what they are doing. She was previously employed by a charity for 8 yrs doing a similar job. To ensure she doesn't lose touch with the "coal face" of childcare, Gill works a few hours each week at an out of school club in South Gloucestershire. To relax, Gill likes to walk her dog "Spud", spend time with friends and eat large quantities of Maltesers - which she never shares!

Glyn has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise in its different guises for nine years. He is part of the IT team and his favourite part of the job is problem solving and dealing with the daily challenges that it brings. Before working here Glyn worked in the customer service and operations side of banking and re-mortgaging, gaining valuable customer service skills that are very handy in his current role.
Outside of work Glyn is a life-long Liverpool fan who enjoys watching a number of sports, going to the cinema, listening to music and loves spending time with family and friends. Glyn also seems to provide them with free IT support; although he doesn’t get paid, he’s earned a few very nice meals along the way.

Jacque has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for three years. She is part of the Business Support Team and as a Better Business in Childcare Business Adviser, she specialises in advising on funding opportunities and marketing. Before joining BBiC she worked as a Specialist Teaching Assistant, a Pre-school adviser and has also set up and managed a community preschool playgroup from scratch. She spends her spare time walking her Springer Spaniel, horse riding with friends, reading, watching her sons and husband play cricket, supporting her village school in her role as governor and running a thriving Brownie Pack.

James has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for 5 years within the IT team. His favourite part of the job is fixing things and helping people with the variety of IT problems they have every day. Before working here James worked within financial services and also as a support worker for adults with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
Outside of work James is a dedicated member of Life Shotokan Karate Club and enjoys photography.

Jenny has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for two years. She is part of the training team and is responsible for organising In-house training, as well as being involved with ILM Qualifications and the various funding streams that are available. Before working here she worked in various training teams including a local publishing house. Jenny really enjoys the people aspect of her role and loves getting out and about and meeting delegates to help them with their training needs.
Concerts, gigs and festivals are Jenny’s idea of heaven as music is her passion. You may even find her at local open mic nights enjoying the acts and maybe even having a go herself.

Jenny has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for three years. She is part of the Business Support Team and as a Better Business in Childcare Business Adviser, she specialises in advising on constitution and governance issues. She is a qualified nurse and health vistor and has worked in the childcare sector for over 25yrs in a variety of roles. She is particularly passionate about parental involvement.
Outside of work Jenny is a member of the Tewkesbury Choral Society, enjoys gardening and supporting her large extended family.

Julie has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for three years. She is part of the Business Support Team and as a Better Business in Childcare Business Adviser, she specialises in advising on human resourses matters.

Kevin is our Managing Director and founder of Gloucestershire Enteprise. His background is predominantly military (Army) where he was involved with the development of soldiers and officers in leadership, management and engineering skills. Kevin has been in civilian life for fourteen years and has been employed as a lead tutor at Gloscat, General Manager of a commercial training company and Training Manager at Business Link.
He is a keen golfer and is never happier than when he is "on a course".
Lesley-Anne has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for almost 2 years and is part of the Business Support Team working at Cotswold Business Centre, our office in Upper Rissington. She is a part-time receptionist and has worked at the Centre for 7 years. Before this she was happily raising her 3 children. She enjoys helping and supporting the tenants and as receptionist helps them in the running of their businesses with the support of her fantastic colleagues. Outisde of work, Lesley-Anne enjoys walking for miles with her little dog, practicing yoga, home cooking and travelling.

Liz Coke has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for eight years. She is a member of the Training team and works part time answering the phone and taking course bookings. She is also the person to speak to if you want to book any of our online training courses. Before working here she worked in various secretarial and administration jobs.
She is a keen bellringer and enjoys going to the theatre.

Lizzie Reynolds has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for 7 months, and is part of the Training Team. She is the person who answers the phone, takes your course bookings and welcomes you in the mornings. Before working here she worked in several large retail stores whilst studying for a Geography degree, and as a customer services advisor at a pharmaceutical company.
Last year she went backpacking around South East Asia, as she is a keen traveller who loves nature and cooking, and is currently teaching herself photography.

Michaela has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise since 2009. She manages the Business Support Team which offers a wide range of programmes so each day brings variety to her job. Previously she worked for Barclays where she gained 20 years+ experience helping local corporate clients and later as a Premier Banking Manager & Financial Adviser to high net worth clients in Gloucestershire and further afield.
Outside of work, she is a keen supporter of Wildlife, belonging to WWT, GWT & RSPB to name a few, with a particular fondness for Lundy where her enthusiasm for photography can be unleashed.

Nicky has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise since November 2008. She is a part-time Business Support Administrator dealing with a variety of projects including “New Enterprise Allowance Scheme” and External Administration Support, among others, and supports the Business Advisers with their administration and technical requirements.
Her previous roles have all been within small, local businesses in personal assistant or administration support roles. Outside of work her passion encompasses all things of an equine nature.

Philip has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for four years and is part of the Business Support Team where he thoroughly enjoys helping the wide variety of people and businesses he works with to achieve their goals and ambitions. Having enjoyed a long and successful career in banking in a variety of managerial roles in the Gloucestershire & Bristol area, he then worked for Business Link for seven years at Adviser, Manager and Director levels.
He now works part-time, three days a week as a Business Adviser and Trainer, giving him more time to spend on the golf course!

Rebecca has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for three years. She is part of the Business Support Team and as a Better Business in Childcare Business Adviser, she specialises in HR employment contracts / PAYE and the Playgroup Access Fund. She has worked with Early Years Settings for over 20 yrs both in as an Early Years Practitioner and in management. She also worked as a Bristol Standards Quality Assurance Assessor, NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier. Spare time is limited due to managing her family’s 2 businesses but she enjoys reading, music, Ballroom and Latin American dancing, so is an avid Strictly viewer!

Sandra has worked in the IT industry for many years for a number of companies. Her favourite parts of the job are facing the challenges and employing the creativity sometimes required when provisioning and supporting IT systems.
Before discovering her passion for IT she previously graduated in Hot Glass Design and worked as a glassmaker/designer for a local Gloucestershire company producing hand blown contemporary glass pieces.
Sandra loves to travel and is always looking forward to new adventures!


Sarah is our Office Manager and has worked for Gloucestershire Enteprise for eight years. She has a variety of responsibilities throughout the Company, including Marketing and PR, Facilities, ECDL Centre Manager and, not least of all, keeping "the Boss" in order.
Her favourite pastimes are walking in the woods with her welsh springer spaniel Maggie and playing with her seven grandchildren whenever she gets the chance.

Michaela manages the Team and is ably supported by Nicky, Claire, Rebecca & Alison in the main office at Twigworth. Philip is often out meeting and advising clients at their premises or delivering courses at locations across the County. Grant Cozens also delivers our Business Start Up Programme and is currenly helping unemployed clients to become self-employed providing access to the New Enterprise Allowance.
Gill, Julie, Rebecca, Alison, Jenny & Jacque provide Business Advice to Childcare settings across the County and work from home where they are nearer to the business communities they help.
Jayne, Trish, Lesley-Anne & Emma work from our office at Cotswold Business Centre providing our tenants with reception, administration and virtual services in the North Cotswolds.





Tracey has worked for Gloucestershire Enterprise for just over two years. She is part of the Finance team and is responsible for sales ledger and credit control. She has worked for several companies over the years, always in Finance.
Tracey is a regular film goer and a first division skittles player.
Trish is part of the Business Support Team, working from Cotswold Business Centre where she deals with our invoicing for the tenants who occupy the offices. She has worked at Upper Rissington for 10 yrs and enjoys working in the pleasant rural setting with a friendly team of colleagues and tenants. Before this she worked mainly in office/bookkeeping jobs but also in hairdressing and interior design.
Outside of work, Trish enjoys many activities including foreign travel, meeting friends & family, decorating, reading and gardening.
