What does the mentor do?

A mentor is defined as a wise or trusted adviser and guide". Mentoring is a unique partnership set up between two individuals. It is shaped by the needs and aspirations of the client and the talents and resources of the mentor. The key strength of a mentor is their ability to seal with the inter-connectedness of issues and the ability to help you explore the impact of your decisions.

What does the coach do?

A coach will deal primarily with building your skills and whilst traditional training sessions can achieve a similar outcome, it will not be in the same flexible targeted way. A coach will build on prior training and always leave the individual with things to get on with between sessions, thus continuing their developmenty and improving the business.
